The museum originally opened in Gloucester in 1984 and moved to Notting Hill in 2005. The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, tucked away in a pretty mews in London’s Notting Hill, examines the history of consumer culture from Victorian times to the present day.
he museum features over 12,000 original items including domestic ‘everyday’ products, packaging, posters, toys and games. The Museum of Brands, Packaging & Advertising spans a 120-year period in the history of consumerism, culture, design, domestic life, fashion, folly and fate. It is presented as a magnificently cluttered time tunnel of cartons and bottles, toys and advertising displays.
The museum is having a huge amount of several amazing collections, 10,000 piece collection began with consumer historian Robert Opie collecting a pack of Munchies at the age of 16. Now including toys, comics, fashion and design, as well as packaging and advertising, the museum presents a fascinating journey through 200 years of consumer behaviour.
Normally entry fare of The Museum of Brands for Adult is £6.50 and for the child is £2.25, The Opening time is as Tuesday to Saturday (10.00-18.00), Sunday (11.00-17.00). It is closed on Mondays except Bank Holidays, 25–26 December. You can buy “London Pass” and visit 71 Attractions in London instead of buying tickets at each attraction. It can save your time and energy.
