The Rugby Football Union was formed in 1871- since that time a huge number of items have been collected and stored including match books, balls and programmes. In 1972 the RFU decided to create a museum at Twickenham to showcase these items and help tell the story of the professional game.
The museum have the largest collection of rugby memorabilia in the world. Twickenham's collection includes an England jersey from the first international match, held in 1871, between England and Scotland. As is the case today, that first England jersey was white, with a red rose.

The museum has collected years of interesting artifacts and sports paraphernalia about the game of rugby since its opening in 1996. Normally entry fare of The Museum of Rugby for Adult is £14.00 and for the child is £8.00, The Opening time is as Tuesday-Saturday (10.00-17.00), Sunday (11.00-17.00). It is closed on 24-26 December, 1 January. You can buy “London Pass” and visit 71 Attractions in London instead of buying tickets at each attraction. It can save your time and energy.
